Windows Device Enrollment: Microsoft Entra ID Join

  • Ensure that automatic enrollment is enabled in the Microsoft Intune portal and verify that the user has the required license.
  • To enroll a Windows device, press the Windows key, then search for and select Access work or school.
  • After opening Access work or school, click Connect in the Add a work or school account section.
  • A pop-up will appear, where you'll need to select Join this device to Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Sign in using the user's credentials or use the Device Enrollment Manager's (DEM) credential to enroll the device into Intune.
  • You will be prompted to review your organization's information, along with details like User Type. After confirming the information, click Join.
  • You will now receive a confirmation that the device has been successfully enrolled into your organization.
  • Restart your device, select other user in the bottom left corner, and sign in using your work account credentials.
  • You will be prompted to set up a Windows Hello PIN. Once completed, your device is ready for use. You can go to Access work or school to verify that your device is connected.
  • For IT personnel, log in to the Microsoft Intune portal and navigate to the Windows section under Devices to verify if the device has been successfully enrolled.
